She admired how brave and strong her little sister was, surviving that island with Ollie, and becoming a vigilante called the Black Canary to protect Starling City. She grew up too quickly, on that island. She couldn’t imagine the pain Sara had undergone there.
Words could not describe how grateful she was now, that her sister was alive, and she didn’t want Ra’s Al Ghul or the rest of the League of Assassins to target Sara down.
She smiled at her sister, eyes full of pride and just relief that she had her sister back.
“How’ve you been?”
Since she’d come back to Starling, Sara had tried to do her best to return to the life she’d had before the Gambit. It was still a little difficult balancing her regular life with her nocturnal activities as the Canary, but it was working. Since she’d bargained with Ra’s to operate out of Starling as his agent rather than returning to the gilded cage of Nanda Parbat following Slade’s attack – she hadn’t wanted to upset Nyssa any further than her first flight from the League had, but even she’d had to reluctantly agree that she wouldn’t be happy if she returned to Tibet – she’d been staying in one of the League’s lesser used safe-houses near Verdant which she’d adopted for her own apartment, and which had oftentimes become a crash-out spot for Team Arrow, rather than the Foundry.
”Hey, Laur,” she smiled, giving her big sister a hug, “I’ve been pretty good. You?”
